South East Open Studios 2012 – part two
As promised, some pictures of the studio turned gallery. This is where I do a lot of my portrait work, so it is very exciting to see the space like this.
I hope you can find time to come and visit Ruth and I and see our work. Ruth makes the most wonderful fused glass pieces and gorgeous lino prints. My work is all photography based – making Cyanotypes and abstract prints.

South East Open Studios 2012
Right at the start of 2012 I signed up to take part in the South East Open Studios this June. For many years now I have enjoyed visiting other local artists in their studios and being able to talk to them about their work and have a nose around their work space. So this year I thought that it would be a lovely idea to open up my studio and give myself a chance to work on some personal projects.
Its been great fun getting back to working with some of the processes I love – old techniques, like cyanotype, which fascinate me and some more abstract images. From Friday, my studio will be open over the next three weekends and I will be sharing the space with my lovely friend Ruth, who is showing her beautiful glass work and lino prints.
I will post pictures of the studio when it is all set up, on Friday but in the meantime here are some photos of my cyanotypes in progress.

I will be at the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells all day on Saturday selling postcards, prints and discounted portrait sessions. It would be lovely to see some faces, so do come by and say hello.
Artist’s Demonstration – 20th Dec 2008

This weekend I will be setting up a mini studio within the Box of Delights exhibition and working through a series of photos that I have been wanting to take for some time. They will be based on sayings that surround animals and I hope that they will bring a smile to the viewers’ lips. I will also bring along many of my vintage cameras and will be happy to chat about what they do and how I use them.
If you are in Tunbridge Wells this Saturday between 1 and 3pm do pop into the Tunbridge Wells Art Gallery and say hello. I’d love to see you.
Box of Delights November and December 2008

It is so wonderful to be part of this local exhibition. I went along to the Private view last week and it looks fantastic. As well as my 6 pieces – waxed digital prints mounted on recycled Iroko wood – there is a great collection of sculpture, illustration, etchings and paintings. If you are anywhere near Tunbridge Wells before Christmas I would recommend dropping in and taking a look; it would be a great place to buy an original and individual Christmas present.
